Reliance communications has introduced two new sms plans for its customers across India. Those plans include 1 Paise/sms plan and unlimited sms @ a daily rental of Re.1 plan. Reliance customers irrespective of GSM or CDMA network can avail 1 Paise/sms (both local and STD) plan by subscribing to a STV voucher of Rs.11 per month. For unlimited sms plan (both local and STD), the customers will be charged Re.1 as daily rental. These plans are applicable for both postpaid and prepaid customers.
IDEA Cellular, India's fifth largest mobile service provider has started its services in Assam telecom circle. With this launch, IDEA is now available in 21 0f 22 telecom circles in India. The company is expected to start its services in North East telecom circle within this year. IDEA offers two different plans- one on Per-Second basis and one on Per-Minute basis for its customers.

Tata Docomo, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices is now offering roaming calls on Per-Second basis. The customers can make calls to any network across India at 1 p/sec while roaming. They will be charged at a rate of 1 p/sec for all incoming and outgoing calls while roaming.
