Tata Teleservices today announced the launch of its GSM mobile services in Himachal Pradesh under the Tata Docomo brand. The company has introduced its "Pay for what you use model" in the state. Tata Docomo is the seventh service provider in the state. Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone, Idea, Aircel and S Tel are the other operators.

Aircel, India's leading GSM service provider in partnership with UK based social networking handset maker INQ has launched two models of mobile in India. The Aircel INQ are suitable for social networking on sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. The company has launched two of its models in India namely INQ Mini 3G and INQ Chat 3G. The INQ Mini is available at a price of Rs. 5,399. INQ chat 3G is priced at Rs. 7,599 and its 3G enabled also. Indian Captain MS Dhoni has been appointed as the brand ambassador for these phones.

Reliance Communications, India's second largest telecom service provider would offer free local and national calls for all its subscribers for a period of 24 hours on 28th March 2010. The offer, available to all its new and existing customers using the CDMA, GSM and fixed wireless services, is in celebration of the company reaching the 100-million customer base. To avail this offer, Reliance Mobile CDMA and GSM prepaid subscriber should have minimum Rs.10 in their main account.
