Airtel launches Pan India "Pay Per Second" tariff plan

Bharti Airtel India’s largest service provider on Friday announced the launch of "Pay Per Second" tariff plan aka "Freedom Plan" for its customers across India. With this launch, Airtel customers will have the freedom of choosing from a variety of plans based on their usage and calling patterns. Customers will be charged 1 paisa/second for All Local and STD calls to Airtel Numbers and 1.20 paisa/second for Local and STD calls to all other networks.

Aircel launches "Pay Per Second" tariff plan across India

Aircel has launched "Pay Per Second" tariff plan for all its customers across India. Aircel customers can now enjoy both Local & STD calls to any network at just One Paisa Per Second.SMS will be charged as per normal tariff. TO activate, customers need to call 123 from their Aircel Mobile and follow the IVR or SMS “SECOND” to 53382.  Thereafter, all existing tariffs/benefits get cancelled and the charges would be on a Per-Second basis without any extra charges.

Vodafone offers local and STD calls at 50paisa in Rajasthan

Vodafone Essar has launched two new Bonus Cards priced at Rs.45 and Rs.75 for its Prepaid mobile subscribers in Rajasthan circle. With this offer, all local and STD calls and SMSes will be charged at just 50 paisa per minute to any network across India. Bonus Card 45 is valid for 6 months and Bonus Card 75 is valid for 12 months.

MTS launches mobile service in Karnataka

MTS India has launched of  its mobile services in Karnataka. MTS India is offering new plan at a promotional offer of just Half-a-Paisa per second for its Karnataka subscribers. Karnataka is already having three CDMA operators namely Reliance,Tata & Virgin and MTS is the fourth one. Vodafone Essar, India's second largest GSM service provider has launched  “Pay Per Second” tariff plan for its Prepaid Subscribers in Orissa telecom circle. Subscribers can avail this offer for a recharge of Rs.12 which comes with one year validity and offers all local & STD calls will be charged at 1 paisa/second.

Prepaid mobile connections to be banned in J&K

Indian Government has decided to ban all the pre-paid mobile connections in Jammu and Kashmir with effect from Nov 1. The government has cited security reasons behind this step. This decision was enforced by the government after it was reported that militants were using prepaid mobiles connections under forged names.  This announcement has been made by the government, just a few days after Home Minister P Chidambaram had informed the people that government is planning for such a move.
